Mrs. Jo is a fun-loving and effective classroom teacher who enjoys being part of The Citizens of the World family since 2013.  As long as she can remember, she wanted to work with children.  After receiving her BA in Human Development from UC San Diego in 2004, she traveled to Thailand, Laos, and Korea to teach English.  Then she decided to pursue her passion for teaching and graduated with her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Cal State Fullerton in 2007.  Upon graduation, she began to teach in Corona-Norco Unified School District and worked as the Kindergarten Jumpstart teacher at Wilson Elementary School for 6 years.  Under Mrs. Jo’s direction, the Jumpstart Program was honored by the California School Boards Association with the prestigious Golden Bell Award for English Language Acquisition in 2009 and the National Blue Ribbon Award of Riverside County for Model of Academic Excellence in 2010.  She is thrilled to be a part of CWC, a school that embraces her teaching philosophy wholeheartedly.  When Mrs. Jo’s not in the classroom, she loves spending quality time with her husband, Joseph, her family, friends, and fur baby, Koko.  She loves traveling, camping, kayaking, watching movies, singing, cooking, and playing endless fetch with Koko.  Mrs. Jo is also fluent in Korean.
