Ms.Allison was born and raised in Oklahoma City, OK. She is a third generation educator! Early childhood education has always been a passion of hers. She believes in educating the whole child and hope that she can instill a love of learning, empathy, creativity, self-direction, and a confident, valued, critical thinker. When not teaching, she enjoys cooking, pilates, hiking, reading classic literature, 35mm photography and hand quilting a flower garden quilt. She also has two Basenjis (the “barkless” dog from Africa) that are nationally ranked lure coursing champions.

She received a BS in Political Science & Early Childhood Education and a Masters in Early Childhood Education. She has also completed endorsement programs for Montessori 3-6 from the American Montessori Society, Special Education, English Language Learners as well as Wired for Reading. She truly values learning and is currently starting an ABA program! She spent her 20s volunteering for various children’s organizations in Oklahoma City including Boys & Girls Club, The Children’s Hospital and Positive Tomorrows. She began teaching Montessori at Westminster School in Oklahoma City and was there for three years before moving to Seattle in 2010, where she continued to teach Montessori Preschool before transitioning to public school as a Kindergarten teacher in Highline School District. After receiving her endorsement in Special Education, she went back to teaching preschool in the Inclusion Program in Lake Washington School District before moving to Los Angeles at the end of 2019. She has been in education since 2005.
