Citizens of the World Hollywood (“CWC Hollywood”) is proud to be ranked in the top 3% in math and 4% in English out of all LAUSD, charter and magnet elementary schools.  Moreover, all demographic groups, or subgroups, outperformed both LAUSD and the state of California.  Please see details below.

Citizens of the World Hollywood showed a strong performance on the 2016-2017 California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP). This performance shows that our students at CWC Hollywood are receiving a rigorous education, which supports them to perform at high levels while also making significant academic gains.

CWC Hollywood outperformed both the district and the state significantly, ranking in the top 3% of LAUSD elementary schools in Math and in the top 4% in English Language Arts out of 621 LAUSD elementary schools (including all charters and magnets). This ranks CWC Hollywood #19 in Math and #26 in English Language Arts out of these schools.

In Math, on average, 75% of CWC Hollywood students tested at or above grade level on the state assessment test, an increase of 5% over the previous year. In English Language Arts, on average, 77% of CWC Hollywood students tested at or above grade level on the state assessment test, an increase of 3% over the previous year.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

All CWC Hollywood subgroups outperform both the District and the state of California.  For example, in English, 17% more Asian students perform at grade level compared to LAUSD, as well as 22% more Latino students, 19% more Caucasian students, 28% more economically disadvantaged students, 37% more English learners, and 46% more students with disabilities.  In math, 26% more Asian CWC Hollywood students outperform LAUSD, as do 18% more Latino students, 23% more Caucasian students, 40% more economically disadvantaged students, 38% more English learners, and 29% more students with disabilities.
