Kindergarten - 2nd Grade Resource Specialist Teacher
Born and raised in New Windsor, New York, Troy graduated from from Newburgh Free Academy High School, received his Bachelor’s in Sociology from SUNY New Paltz, and his Dual Master degrees in education (Elementary Education & Special Education) from Manhattanville College.
Troy has 15 years experience working with people with special needs of all ages, since 2001. He worked with adults with Traumatic Brain Injuries for 5 years in a day program setting, for 5 years with adults with intellectual disabilities in a group home setting, 4 years as a Teacher’s aide for students with Autism, and worked 1 year as a Special EducationTeacher in New York City for students with Autism.
His favorite part of teaching is when students develop a love for learning and a feeling of success every day. Troy enjoys hiking, playing sports, going to the movies and sharing time with his wife, family and friends.
