Ms. Campbell grew up in the San Francisco Bay area where she developed loves of learning, nature, arts, athletics, family, community, activism, and global curiosity. She graduated from UC Davis with a degree in theater arts and a desire to integrate her multiple passions into one contribution. She attended the Clinical Schools urban teacher training program at San Francisco State University where she learned thematic and project-based teaching methods for success in the diverse urban classroom. Tracey served in San Francisco schools for six years. She also worked in Hawaii developing literacy enhancement projects for Hawaiian families transitioning from homelessness. She then set out to expand her life experience, relocating to Southern California and teaching in a variety of environments with students ranging from pre-school through college and adult. In addition, she worked in a field close to her heart – renewable energy development. At Citizens of the World Community School, Tracey has discovered a program of education whose mission and values echo her own. Having experienced many different learning environments, she appreciates the quality and scope of the CWC vision. She is honored to be a chosen member of this learning community, and aims to facilitate discovery, growth, connectivity, curiosity, creativity, inquiry, unity, and individual success. Tracey is a fluent Spanish speaker.
