Ms. Bentson grew up in L.A. county and attended California State University, Long Beach to earn a bachelor’s degree in Education, with en emphasis in Social Science. Immediately following graduation, she spent one year in South America travelling and teaching English as a volunteer. Upon her return in 2013, she became a Hollywood resident and a lead classroom teacher.
Passionate about social justice, history, and culture, Ms. Bentson strives to create a learning environment that invites all students to be creative thinkers, strong communicators, and compassionate collaborators. She relies on Project Based Learning practices and Restorative Justice methods to engage and support her students.
Ms. Bentson loves her job. She also loves playing sports, camping, and snuggling her dog, Benny.
