Theresa Walsh

2nd Grade Lead Teacher

Ms. Theresa Walsh is a passionate, energetic educator who has joined the CWC family for the 20-21 academic year! This will be her 7th year in the classroom. Ever since she was in elementary school herself, she became passionate about becoming just like some of her most favorite and influential elementary school teachers. Theresa is thrilled to have found a school community that embraces her belief in hands-on, inclusive learning with an emphasis on social-emotional development. As a teacher navigating the virtual world, she will make it her priority to build strong bonds with each and every student in her classroom as well as their families.

Theresa is originally from the East Coast, coming from the suburbs of Boston, Massachusetts. She earned a B.A/Master of Education/Massachusetts Teaching License from Merrimack College, which she later transferred to obtain a California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential with an English Learner Authorization. During her professional career back home, Theresa served as a 1st and 4th grade teacher both in the charter and public school systems. She has most recently taught at a Charter School in East Los Angeles for the last two years and has loved immersing herself in the vibrant culture that Los Angeles offers.

In her spare time, Theresa enjoys reading, meditating, baking, starting DIY projects around the house, hiking, traveling, watching football (go Patriots!), and spending time with loved ones – especially her pups, Dash and Jack!
