Amy Kristovic

4th Grade Lead Teacher

Ms. Kristovic is thrilled to have a continued presence in the CWC community while moving into her new role as a Lead Teacher!! In her first year at CWC she provided support as a 3rd grade TA where she naturally embraced CWC’s core philosophies that so greatly align with her own. Additionally, she is proud to have played a critical role in implementing CWC’s “Radical Readers” Intervention Program, leading small groups of students in her after school class.  Prior to her time at CWC, Ms. Kristovic spent many years developing her teaching style in all levels of education. She has worked in various elementary schools; played an integral role in a national high school teacher fellowship program; and spent years developing and implementing adult education courses and workshops. She considers herself a lifelong learner and is thrilled to create a classroom culture that instills appreciation for diversity, provides rich real-world connections and fosters limitless learning opportunities.  Ms. Kristovic is proudly from Chicago where she earned her BA from University of Illinois at Chicago. After relocating to Los Angeles she pursued her teaching credential at California State University. She is finishing her MEd in Curriculum & Technology and is eager to share her passion for educational technology in her classroom.  When she is not teaching she enjoys spending time with family, baking, and exploring southern California.
